BUDGET conscious Brits love tucking into a tasty meal or sipping on a cold beer at their favourite Wetherspoons.
Although the chain is known for its affordable prices, there are plenty of clever ways to save even more on pub classics and even get drinks for FREE.
Here we explain how you can cut the cost of your favourite meals - and save up to £328 a year at Wetherspoons.
Afternoon delights
If you don't mind eating slightly later then you could save money in the afternoon.
The deal is available from Monday to Friday from 2pm to 5pm.
You could get a small pub classic meal for around £8, or about £9.60 with an alcoholic drink.
There are more than 150 drinks on offer, so there should be something for everyone.
At The Golden Bee in Stratford-upon-Avon you could save £1.24 on a small fish and chips or scampi with the deal.
Meanwhile, you would save £1.77 on the same meal with an alcoholic drink.
If you’re feeling hungrier, you can tuck into a large plate for just £9.32. An all-day brunch would normally set you back £11.49 but you could save £2.17 with the deal.
Or knock your meal back with an alcoholic drink for £11.08, saving you £2.82 on the same meal.
Grabbing this offer every week would save you £146.64 annually.
Steak out
If you love a juicy sirloin steak but don't want to cook it yourself then head to your nearest Wetherspoons on a Tuesday.
From 11:30am to 11pm you can grab a steak and a soft or alcoholic drink at a discount.
At The Crosse Keys in London you can get an 8oz steak and a soft drink for £11.37.
This meal would normally set you back £12.82 so you would save £1.45.
My Wetherspoons tips as the Coupon King

JORDON Cox, the Coupon King, reveals his money saving tips.
Deli Deal
I usually get the Deli Deals when I visit my local Wetherspoons.
You can choose between six meals, including a small shawarma chicken, small southern-fried chicken or small brunch wrap.
They cost £4.68 with a soft drink or £6.21 with an alcoholic drink at The Bishops' Mill in Durham.
A wrap normally costs £3.50 while a pint of Doom Bar would set you back £2.75, so you would save £1.57.
Free unlimited refills
At Wetherspoons you can get unlimited free hot drinks, which is good.
You can get unlimited refills of coffee, hot chocolate or tea all day every day.
It normally costs around £1.50, but prices vary depending on the pub.
Curry club
If you love a katsu or chicken tikka masala curry then you could save big on a Thursday.
You can grab curries including chicken jalfrezi, beef madras or Katsu grilled chicken curry for a fraction of their normal price between 11:30am and 11pm.
At The Golden Bee in Stratford-upon-Avon you can get a curry and soft drink for £9.97 - saving you £1.93.
Or wash it down with an alcoholic drink for £11.73 - knocking £1.93 off the price.
If you want an alcoholic drink then your meal would set you back £12.99 with the offer - £1.45 less than the regular price.
If you used this deal just ten times a year then you would save £14.50.
Walk it off
Prices in Wetherspoons pubs vary depending on which one you visit.
Even walking down the road can save you a few pounds on your dinner.
For example, a beef burger and small drink at The Sir John Hawkshaw in London will set you back £7.89.
But just 300 metres away, at The Crosse Keys, the same meal would cost £7.53 - a saving of 36p.
If you did this just ten times a year then you could save £3.60.
A small saving - but every little helps!

Check the date
Wetherspoons often runs seasonal offers which can help you save big on some of your favourite foods.
Every year Wetherspoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of permanently reducing the tax bill for the pub industry.
It usually takes place in September and last year it fell on Thursday, September 12.
On this day the chain cuts the price of all food and drinks by 7.5% to highlight the benefit of a permanent VAT reduction in the hospitality industry.
