Weight Watchers set to launch their own bargain range of 500 calorie takeaway meals to rival Slimming World

Joining forces with Heinz the diet brand's new healthy range is based on some of Brits' favourite takeaways featuring the likes of chicken tikka masala and Chinese chicken noodles.

Shoppers keen to lose a few pounds will be pleased to know the tasty range won't burn a hole in their pocket with Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys selling them at £2.79 a pop.

Undercutting arch-rival Slimming Worlds £3 fakeaway range, Weight Watchers low calorie meals can even boast being cheaper than a meal deal.

The full range includes eight tasty flavours; creamy king prawn pasta, South Indian vegetable curry, Chinese style chicken noodles, chicken and chorizo paella, spicy tomato sauce and meatball penne.

Asda is also offering an exclusive chicken and roasted vegetable jalfrezi flavour while Tesco will stock the Mediterranean chicken pasta.
