First white Cadbury Creme Egg found in Luton Tesco Express and the winner snaps up a £1,000 prize

Natasha Bream, 30, from Luton has become the first person to find a white Cadbury Creme egg. There are still over 370 eggs left to be found.

A NURSERY manager from Luton has become the first person to find a white Cadbury Creme Egg, scooping a £1,000 prize.

Hundreds of eggs have been hidden in shops around the UK by the chocolate firm, in its very own Willy Wonka style marketing stunt.

Natasha Bream, 30, picked up three Creme Eggs on her lunch break from her a Tesco Express in Luton.

After opening up her first egg she was shocked to find a white egg inside.

She phoned up the helpline number on the inside of the wrapper and found out that she'd one of the 34 eggs worth £1,000.

She told The Sun Online: "I was a bit shocked. I couldn't quite believe it.

"I'd been talking to my assistant [about the hunt] before going to the shops.

"I didn't think it would happen to me".

Natasha is still deciding on what to spend her winnings on but top of her list is booking a holiday.

She hasn't eaten the white egg yet, even though she'd really like to try it.

Anyone who finds a white version of the much-loved Creme Egg is in line to win a prize.

They are hidden in small shops, including local newsagents, Sainsbury's Local , Tesco Express and Co-op branches, is in line to win a prize.

Where can you find a winning white Cadbury's Creme Egg?

HUNDREDS of eggs have been hidden in shops. They have the same packaging as the classic fondant treat, but the numbers are limited.

  • Independent retailers - 13 white eggs worth £1,000 and 78 worth £100. One egg worth £1,000 will be released somewhere in the UK each week, over the 13 weeks.
  • Sainsbury's Local - 14 eggs worth £1,000 and 84 worth £100. One egg worth £1,000 each week of 14 weeks.
  • Co-op - 1 egg worth £2,000 and 90 worth £200. No indication of when the £2,000 egg will go on sale.
  • Tesco - 7 eggs worth £1,000 and 84 worth £100.

There are believed to be around 371 white eggs in these shops.

Of course, the number of prizes are very limited. For example, there is only one chance to win the top £2,000 prize and there are 34 eggs worth £1,000.

There are also a number of smaller £100 prizes to be won.

The first prize winner comes after supermarket staff were accused of unwrapping eggs in search of the top prize.

A single egg costs around 58p, while a five pack costs £2.85.

If the egg is found by a person under the age of 16 then their parent or legal guardian must claim the prize.

Cadbury's US owners Mondelez were accused of "ruining Easter" when they changed the recipe for the fondant-filled snack back in 2015.

In December, shoppers were shocked to find Creme Eggs on sale BEFORE Christmas. 

While Easter eggs have already hit the shelves in supermarkets around the country...four months early.
