Iceland is selling the bundle ahead of Pancake Day which falls on February 15 this year. The deal was spotted on and shoppers are already stocking up.

Normally, the ingredients would cost £4 altogether from the supermarket meaning if you bought the frying pan too then it would cost you £9.

McDougalls' calssic pancake mix costs £1, frylight cooking oil £1.50, maple syrup for £1 and lemon juice cost 50p.

Whilst it looks like a great idea, it's only worth doing if you need to buy a frying pan too, or you'll end up spending £1 more than you need to.

You'll need to add an egg to McDougall's pancake mix but they're not included in the Iceland deal

But before you reach for your purse, you'll need to fork out extra for a box of eggs though as you'll need to add one to the mix but they're not included in the deal.

Of course, it's cheaper to make the mix yourself. You can get a bag of self raising flour for 40p from Asda, 10 large eggs from Aldi for 45p and two pints of milk for 80p from Tesco.

Although that costs £1.75, you'll be able to make more pancakes and unlike the premix, you can use the ingredients for other meals if you don't want to use them all for pancakes.
