Aldi’s new cheap DIY range includes drills, screws and steel cap heel boots

The supermarket has launched a new range of budget home improvement tools - but they're specialbuys and they won't be around for long

ALDI is bizarrely taking on the world of DIY with their new "Drill N Fix It" range - which includes a pair of steel capped boots.

Over the next few weeks, shoppers will be able to pick up their fruit, vegetables and DIY essentials all on the same basket.

The budget supermarket's rage of DIY tools includes a drill, ladder and tool backpack

The range includes drills, boots, a backpack for your tools as well as high-vis jackets - some of which seem a bit over the top for some home DIY.

The most expensive item is the 20V Li-Ion cordless hammer drill which costs £49.99. A similar drill by Worx will cost you £78 from Homebase so you're really scooping a deal here.

To make sure you've got the right gear, they're also selling two pairs of steel capped workman's boots. The leather safety boots come in brown or tan and cost £19.99, whilst the safety shoes cost £18.99.

In need of a ladder? Aldi is selling a four steps household ladder for £19.99 - £2 cheaper than a similar one from Homebase which will cost you £22.

If the DIY-er at home is doing your head in by leaving drill bits and screwdrivers lying around then you might want to get them the Aldi tool box with 16 compartments for £16.99.

There's a similar four tread ladder at B&Q but it's more expensive so you'll be getting a bargain on the one from Aldi.

But it's not the cheapest one on the market. We actually found a similar one at B&Q that's cheaper. Even though it's single sided, it has 17 compartments rather an 16 and cost £9.74.

If you have your eye on the range, you'll have to be quick because they're a Specialbuy which means they won't be around for long.

The German supermarket has launched a new range of chocolate for Easter and it looks suspiciously like posher ones from Cadbury and Lindt.

The budget supermarket will be selling Easter eggs, chocolate bunnies and sharing bag snacks for more than half of the price of the branded ones - but do they taste any good?

We put it to them to the test and here's what we thought.
