BUTTER MUM UP

Iceland’s doing a £5 breakfast deal for Mother’s Day

IF you're planning to treat your mum to breakfast in bed this Sunday, Iceland might have the deal for you.

The frozen foods retailer is selling a breakfast bundle, which includes two packs of sausages or bacon, a loaf of bread and eggs for £5.

Iceland's deal is available until Sunday MArch 12

Shoppers can choose between cumberland sausages or dry cured bacon, which both come in a pack of six.

This means you'll get 12 pieces of bacon or sausages in total - more than enough to treat your whole family to a generous breakfast.

One pack of bacon usually cost £2 without the offer, meaning two packs of bacon alone would cost you £4.

In addition to that you'll also get to pick a loaf of bread and a pack of six free range British eggs.

What's included in Iceland's deal?

Here's what you can get for £5

Choose two of the following:

  • 6 Luxury British Outdoor Bred Premium Cumberland Sausages (400g) - usually worth £2
  • 6 Luxury British Outdoor Bred Premium Pork Sausages (400g) - usually worth £2
    OR
  • Luxury 6 Outdoor Bred Dry Cured Oak Smoked Back Bacon (200g) - usually worth £2
  • Luxury 6 Outdoor Bred Dry Cured Oak Unsmoked Back Bacon (200g) - usually worth £2

Next, select your choice of luxury bread:

  • Luxury 5 Grain Batch (800g) - usually worth £1.20
  • Luxury Malted Wheat Batch (800g)  - usually worth £1.20

All finished off  with one of the following:

  • Iceland Class A Free Range 6 Large Eggs - usually worth 95p
  • Iceland NI Class A Free Range 6 Large Eggs - usually worth 95p
  •

The breakfast deal is available online only until March 12.

We had a look to at Tesco prices to see if Iceland's offer was worth it compared to rivals.

At Tesco a pack of 10 of its finest traditional sausages will cost you £4, and in addition with the eggs (£1.30) and a loaf of bread (£1.10), a similar bundle would set you back £6.4 - so Iceland's deal is pretty decent.

Other supermarkets also have Mother's Day related deals.

Asda brought back its heart-shaped crumpets, which will cost you £1 for a pack of four.

If you're mum is a fizz fan, the supermarket is also selling bottles of its award-winning Prosecco for £5 down from £6.

Mother's Day is a chance for families to show their appreciation for their mums.
