Five ways to make extra cash, from getting paid to queue to renting out your driveway — plus how you can win £2,500 for your holiday
WITH the days getting longer, your thoughts might be turning to holidays.
But with a week abroad in summer costing a family of four £1,212 on average, according to Asda Money, any extra cash will be welcome.

Here, we reveal some simple ways to make more dosh.
- Get paid to queue: We’re British, we love to queue and it is even better if you can get paid to do it. Through you can offer your services to anybody wanting you to stand in a queue for them, for instance to buy tickets. You can set a price and most jobs cost around £15 to £20 an hour.
- Transcribe meetings and conferences for a fee: If you are a speedy typist, companies will pay to transcribe audio recordings of conferences or meetings. Sign up at sites such as who pay 28p per audio minute.
- Earn money to surf the Internet: If mindlessly browsing the internet is your favourite hobby, register with the or browser add on. If you click on one of the ads you like, you will be paid usually around 7-15p a search but you can earn up to £1.
- Fill in surveys online and earn cash: You can get paid up to £6 per survey. The best websites to sign up to are , , .
- Rent out your driveway: Specify the times you do not need your drive and JustPark advertises your space. Great if you know your car will be with you at work for most of the day. You can also choose how much you charge and get paid straight into your bank or Paypal account. It is free to register your driveway but the sites you do it through usually take a slice — around three per cent — as their commission. See .
