Supermarkets slash Easter egg and chocolate prices to as low as 39p
EASTER is over and it means there’s a whole range of chocolatey bargains now available in supermarkets.
Leftover stock is selling at a 50 per cent discount across some retailers, including Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and even Hotel Chocolat.
While the chocolatier Thorntons has slashed prices of its sweet treats even further with discounts of up to 75 per cent.
Bargain hunters on have spotted eggs selling for as little as 39p in some stores.
Of course, chocolate fans will need to be quick to pick up the best deals.
Most of the sweet treats are reduced to clear, which means the amount of stock available will vary from store to store - and once they're gone, they're gone.

Morrisons is selling the last of its Easter stock and it means you can get up to 50 per cent off Lindt Gold Bunny and Cadbury eggs.

These deals were spotted by a bargain hunter in a shop in Basingstoke.
The promotion is only available in stores and stock is likely to vary depending on where you shop.

Thorntons has slashed the price of its Easter eggs by 75 per cent.
The chocolatier’s post-Easter sale means shoppers could be picking themselves up an egg for just £1.
Its is selling for £3 instead of £6 – a 50 per cent discount.
Chocolate lovers can also pick up the retailer's Rocket Easter egg – a milk chocolate treat which comes complete with star designs and a white chocolate rocket - for just £1, down from £4 - a 75 per cent reduction.
