Mumsnet users slam untidy owners of £1million 3-bed house for sale in Stoke Newington

MUMSNET users have slammed the untidy owners of a £1.2million property for sale in London - and some of their responses are hilarious.
The online advert on Zoopla features a messy three-bedroom home in Stoke Newington with a bathtub overfilled with dirty laundry and a loo in need of a good scrub.
According to, the property offers "plenty of potential for those wishing to create their ideal dream [home]."
But one outspoken mum has sparked a debate on the parenting website by arguing that the owners could have made an effort to do the washing first.
Posting on, she complained: "For £1.25million you'd think they'd have made it tidy!
"I know Stoke Newington in London is an expensive area but really!"
"I'm assuming it's currently rented out and the landlord doesn't want to miss out on a penny of his/her rent."
And reactions to her post have rolled in, amassing 214 since Friday.
Some users argued that the mess is a strategy on the part of the tenants' who do not want to move away.
One user said: "Slum landlord I think. But they could have opened the curtains and cleaned the toilet! It's almost as if they made it look as bad as it possibly could - perhaps a strategy on the tenants' part?"
While another one added: "Tenants probably don't want to have to go so didn't tidy up for the EA. Landlord and EA can't force them to make it look like a show home.

"I do feel for tenants who are at the mercy of landlords suddenly deciding to sell. I can see why they don't out the effort in to cleaning/tidying before photos or viewings."
But another mum defended the renters suggesting that "some people live like that and don't see a problem with it".
One user said that the house could only be a repossession.
She posted: "Wow! Is it a repossession maybe? No one would be happy with those pictures surely??
"And £1.25million!! I know it is right in London but even so, who affords these (dumps) properties?"
Another mum complained: "It would be the bathroom with that disgusting loo which would put me off! All the fittings are so cheap looking and it would take you for ever to clear the 'garden'!!
Despite the filthy state of the property many users agreed that the price was fair for a house of this size in Stoke Newington, North East London.
Many also added that it would probably look much bigger without the mess.
Sam Mitchell, the boss of online estate agents , said: "With the majority of people starting their house searches online, estate agent photos are more important than ever."
"The room proportions look fine, but anyone looking at these photos and the superficial state of the property, is likely to be immediately put off.
“This property has potential and it wouldn't take much to make it far more attractive to potential buyers."
Renting and buying in areas like Stoke Newington, Shoreditch, Hackney and Dalston has become ridiculously expensive over the past twenty years.
In 1996, the average house price in Hackney was a little more than £75,000.
That figure jumped to just over £600,000 in 2016, according to an analysis of Land Registry data carried out by Lloyds Bank.
That's equivalent to a price increase of more than 700 per cent over the last 20 years.
To compare, property prices in London increased by 450 per cent overall over the same period.
