RECALL WARNING

Halo Top ‘healthy’ ice cream sold in Tesco recalled due to allergy risk

Two types of the snacks have been pulled from shelves because they contain chocolate chips made with soya and it doesn't declare it on the label

TWO flavours of "healthy" ice creams have been pulled from shelves because they could be a risk to people with a soya allergy.

Halo Top has recalled the items because they contain chocolate chips made from soya but forget to mention it on the label.

This means that someone who is allergic to soya could accidentally eat it and it could trigger a reaction.

People who suffer from a soya allergy can come out in a rash or suffer from vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain if they eat it.

The two flavours are the mint chocolate chip ice cream and the chocolate chip cookie dough once - both come in 473ml tubs.

You can buy them in Tesco and Ocado and they cost around £5 for a tub.
