What's a disposable barbecue?

Disposable BBQs are for one-day use only, and can be chucked in the bin once the cooking's finished.

They're made from lightweight aluminium material and use charcoal for the heat source.

They save on forking out on a full barbecue - and solve the issue of storage.

Plus you don't need to pay out for charcoal.

How to barbecue safely

Here’s some useful tips from the Fire Service

  • Make sure your barbecue is in good working order.
  • Ensure the barbecue is on a flat site, well away from a shed, trees or shrubs.
  • Keep children, garden games and pets well away from the cooking area.
  • Never leave the barbecue unattended.
  • Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby for emergencies.
  • Dispose of smoking materials properly and make sure they are completely extinguished
  • Ensure the barbecue is cool before attempting to move it.
  • Never put hot ashes straight into a dustbin or wheelie bin – they could melt the plastic and cause a fire.
