Gothic mansion dubbed Harry Potter house for its Howgarts-esque decor goes on sale for £2.1m
The three-bedroom property appears better suited to the wizarding world than a muggle
A GOTHIC mansion dubbed "Harry Potter House" for its Hogwarts-esque decor is now on sale - if you have £2.1million to spare and a tolerance for Minnesota winters.
The three-bedroom property - also known as the "Hogwarts House" - appears better suited to the wizarding world than a muggle.
Initially built in 1911, the current owner spent seven years transforming the property into a castle ripped from the pages of the best-selling book - although there are no direct references to Harry Potter.
The 4,500-square-foot home, based in Minnesota, US, has a dining area with chandeliers like The Great Hall.
Meanwhile, the kitchen and dining room open into a massive living room with a large stone fireplace.
Not even Harry Potter could have pulled off this kind of magic.
The property is decorated with spellbinding arching wooden doors and stained glass windows.
It also includes three bathrooms and a rooftop terrace with space for entertaining and views of the city’s skyline.
It is mere steps away from the US Bank Stadium, home to the Minnesota Vikings American football team and college basketball.
There’s also a charming (magical?) interior courtyard with a tree growing in the middle of it.
The house is listed with Jeffrey Dewing of Coldwell Banker Burnet.
If you're looking for a magical mansion in the UK - a £1million medieval home which featured in the Harry Potter films is still on the market.
The house features in the Deathly Hallows part one when Harry Potter and Hermione go to Godric's Hollow
The Grade I listed building, located in the village of Lavenham, Suffolk.
It's thought to have originally been built by the 12th Earl, De Vere House.
