Mary Berry salad dressing recalled because it could trigger allergies
A packaging error means the bottles have been filled with the wrong sauce and the labels don't include the right information
BOTTLES of Mary Berry's salad dressing have been pulled from shelves thanks to a packaging error.
The 235ml bottles have been filled with the wrong sauce which means the nutritional information on the packaging is wrong.
The salad dressing, which is endorsed by the celebrity baker, were filled with contain egg but this was not declared on the label.
This means that people with an intolerance to egg could accidentally consumer it and become ill.
People with an egg allergy can come out in hives, suffer from stomach cramps and have trouble breathing, if they eat any traces of the food.
The condiment is sold in Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons.
They normally cost £3 a bottle, although it's currently on offer in Tesco for £2.25.
As a precaution, one batch of the sauce has been recalled. Affected bottles have a batch code of 7361 and a best before date of June 2019.
Customers with an intolerance to egg are being advised not to eat the dressing, but instead contact the suppliers on 01494 895507 to arrange a replacement.

An investigation by the Sun Online found that food recalls have gone up by 44 per cent in three years.
