Asda is selling its award-winning Prosecco for £5 – but you’ll have to be quick

FIZZ lovers can toast Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding with a bottle of Yellow Label Prosecco for a fiver.

Asda is selling bottles of the award-winning bubbly for £5 down from £6 ahead of the upcoming royal nuptials.

It might not seem like a big discount, but it actually makes it the cheapest bottle of supermarket Prosecco.

The next best deal we spotted comes from Lidl, which is selling its Allini Prosecco Frizzante DOC for £5.25.

Aldi also has a bottle of Belletti Prosecco Spumante DOC but it will set you back £5.99.

The supermarket often drops the price of its popular bottle of fizz ahead of big events like Mother's Day or Valentine's Day.

In the week running-up to the Royal Wedding, Asda predicts the sale of over £4.8million worth of fizz as customers stock-up to celebrate.

The retailer Italian fizz scooped Silver at the 2017 Decanter Awards and Bronze at the prestigious International Wine Challenge.

If you want to try something a little more sophisticated, the retailer is also selling its the award-winning Henri Cachet Champagne Brut for £12 down from £18.

Savvy shoppers can already get their hands on both offers in stores and online now but the promotion doesn't last long.
