SIMPLY THE ZEST

McVities is launching new lemon and lime flavour Jaffa Cakes

The previously limited edition flavour has a zesty twist and will cost just 99p for a box

IF like us you are a Jaffa Cake addict, then take a moment before reading because we have huge news.

The McVities biscuit now comes in lemon and lime and sounds like it will surely add some zest into treat time.

Made in the same way as the original, the mini ''cake'' features a soft sponge bottom, lemon and lime filling, all coated in chocolate.

The boxes, which will be available from major retailers like Tesco and Sainsbury's from this month, will cost just 99p - that's a pretty sweet deal.

McVities originally brought the flavour out last year for a limited period, in special Halloween themed boxes.

Now they appear to be back by popular demand and will remain on shelves as a new addition.

The release comes after scientists revealed you’ve been eating Jaffa Cakes the wrong way.

The conventional Half Moon technique has been rubbished by boffins as it fails to make the most of the flavours offered by the sweet treat.
