Back to school uniform shopping: what supermarkets like Aldi, Marks & Spencer and Tesco have to offer

It's nearly time for the kids to head back for a new school year, so where can we get our hands on some pocket-friendly school uniform bits?

IT'S very nearly that time where kids will head back to school and embark on a brand new year of education.

And with every new year comes a new school wardrobe, but it can be pricey... here's where you can get your hands on some good value school uniforms on the high street.

Tesco

All of Tesco's range is only available in-store, and their website states some of their bestsellers.

They have kilt skirts from £8, girls' polo shirts from £2.50 and boys' white shirts from £3.50.

Also in their range are cardigans, trousers, gym clothes and a range of pinafores.

They're all currently available in selected stores across the UK.

Sainsbury's

Sainsbury's have a huge range available both in-store and

They have both boy and girl sections and cover primary and secondary ages.

There's also sixth form uniforms that go up to a size 22 for women and a W44/XXL for men.

You can grab a full PE kit for less than a tenner and multi-packs of shirts from £4.50

M&S

Marks & Spencer offer slightly pricier school uniforms, however, they are very reasonable and are excellent quality.

Their designs offer stain and weatherproof trousers, non-iron shirts, scuff-resistant shoes, stain-resistant polos and StayNEW jumpers, which mean that colours last bright for longer.

They are also available both and in-store.

Asda

George at Asda have a

And it pretty much does what it says on the tin, you can grab a bit of everything that you need, from shiny black shoes to red gingham dresses.

As usual, their entire range is available in selected stores, and they also have a 100 day guarantee on all of their schoolwear.

Prices start from £2.50 for two-packs of children's school polo shirts.

Aldi

Whilst they have a slightly more limited range, Aldi definitely have some bargain prices.

but they'll also be available as specials in store, but stocks are limited.

You can grab an entire uniform including two polo shirts, a sweatshirt and a pair of trousers for £5, or you can opt for one with a skirt instead for the same price.

Morrisons

Morrisons' Nutmeg collection is all available on their site too and they have a pretty broad selection.

They have sweatshirts starting at £2, gingham dresses with matching hair scrunchies from only £4 and two-packs of polo shirts from £2.
