When is Cyber Monday 2021?

This year, Cyber Monday falls on November 29, directly after Black Friday weekend.

It's probably your last chance to buy a kettle in the sales if you haven't bought one already.

Is Black Friday a good time to buy a kettle?

It's a great time to buy a kettle.

Because there are so many retailers that sell small appliances like these, there's a lot of competition, which is good news for shoppers.

The hardest part is recognising a deal when you see one, so it's a good idea to take a look around the retailers' websites before the sales start.

Doing this will give you a good idea of what the pre-sale prices are and you'll be well-placed to spot the bargains.

We'll be updating this page too, so check back here to discover new options if you want to replace your kettle.

What to expect from kettle retailers in the Black Friday 2021 sales

Based on previous years, you can expect great bargains not just on Black Friday itself, but in the weeks leading up to the big day.

That means you have plenty of time to shop around and ensure you get the best deal for you.

Remember that popular kettle brands are sold by multiple retailers, so you might be able to find the same kettle cheaper elsewhere - and brands compete on Black Friday to offer the biggest discounts.

What Black Friday deals were there on kettles last year?

In 2020, we saw great offers across a range of products, so hopefully we'll get the same this year. But it's definitely worth doing your homework ahead of time, so you can figure out what best suits you and snap it up quickly on Black Friday.

If it's been a while since you've invested in a new kettle, you might be surprised at how techy the more expensive models have become.

You can now buy a kettle with a built-in water filter for hard water areas or one that connects to an app so you can boil it remotely.

Other clever features include an energy-efficient one-cup boil function or multi-temperature boils for those who are pernickety about the temperature of their tea.

You can even buy a matching kettle and toaster set to keep your kitchen countertops looking sleek and coordinated.

How much does it cost to boil a kettle?

According to , a normal kettle uses 3kW of electricity, boiling a single cup of tea costs less than a penny and the amount of energy required to make a cup of tea is around 0.0408kWh.
