MOVE over pigs in blankets, Tesco is launching pigs in duvets and we can't wait to get our hands on the flaky puff pastry treats.
A pigs in blankets war is currently raging across the major supermarkets but Tesco has thrown a spanner - or should that be a sausage - in the works with its latest festive food offering.
Its pigs in duvets feature succulent pork sausages wrapped in smoked bacon encased in a puff pastry parcel ready to tear and share.
A 400g box of the meaty treats costs £5 and comes with a sweet cranberry dipping sauce.
The Sun Online has tried them and we can confirm that they certainly live up to the hype.
It may only be September, but in the run-up to Christmas Aldi has announced that it's launching a £3 FOOT LONG pig in blanket.
While Asda has gone one better by revealing the launch of an even girthier GIANT pig in blanket.
But you'll have to hold your horses - or piggies - for Tesco's pigs in duvets as they're not available until November 12.
When they do go on sale, you'll be able to snap up a box both in-store and online.
But it's not all about the meat as Tesco is also launching a vegan roll selection in stores and online from November 12.
A 270g box costs £2 and contains three Moroccan spiced cauliflower rolls, three herby roasted butternut squash rolls, and three katsu curried vegetable rolls.
If you'd prefer something sweet, John Lewis has opened the doors to its Christmas shop where you'll be able to create your own pick & mix Quality Street tins.
