Domino’s now does vegan pizza and fans are loving it

The Vegan Margherita and Vegan Supreme is currently being trialled at selected stores across the UK

DOMINO'S has ditched meat, dairy and eggs from its pizzas to come up with a range of vegan dishes.

The fast-food chain is trying out the new pizzas but won't reveal exactly which branches are offering them.

The Vegan Supreme and Vegan Margherita have both swapped the cheese for a dairy-free mozzarella and the regular base for one without egg.

The Supreme is very similar to the Veggie Supreme that's already on the menu and is topped with peppers, mushrooms, onions and sweetcorn.

Vegans don't use or eat animal products which means they don't eat cheese made from dairy, meat or eggs - all of the key ingredients for pizza.

But the junk food chain said that it's made the changes because they want "as many people as possible to enjoy" their food.

Domino's is yet to confirm how much they cost but on foodie tweeted that it cost £18 for an 11 inch dish, which is around about the same price as a Mighty Meaty.

Vegan pizzas are already available at branches in Australia and rumours that they'd arrived in the UK began surfacing online earlier this week.

But some vegans questioned the recipe when they spotted that the list of ingredients states that they were made with egg.

A Domino’s spokesperson told The Sun: "The "vegendary" pizza is in trial across a few stores in September to help us get as much customer feedback on the product as possible."

We've revealed before how Domino's charges up to 70p MORE for pizzas on its menu compared to ordering a "Create Your Own" version with exactly the same ingredients.

You could be forking out up to 33 per cent more for your pizza when you order from four top takeaway chains according to where they live.

Pizza lovers in London and Surrey will be paying up to £4 MORE for their favourite dish than someone ordering the same one in Liverpool, research found.
