Asda is selling maple bacon pretzels – and they are amazing

Asda Maple Bacon Flavour Pretzel Trees

The bacon-flavour is quite strong but if you like the taste, there's no reason why you wouldn't enjoy these snacks either.

How do we know this? The Sun got a chance to try them ahead of launch.

To really get you in the extra Christmas spirit, the pretzels are also shaped in the form of Christmas trees.

A pack of 175g is recommended to serve seven people though, so it may be best to stick to this as each portion contains 106 calories.

If you want to get your hands on the pretzels, they'll be available from October 8 in Asda stores and online and will set you back £1 per bag.

Kettle Chips also does bacon and maple flavoured snacks though in the shape of crisps, but they cost £1.99 at Ocado or £2 for two at Waitrose for 150g.

We've seen a number of festive snacks launch in the last few weeks, such as Iceland's Christmas tree flavoured crisps and pigs in blanket crisps by Iceland and Marks & Spencer.

M&S has also launched a mince pie flavoured martini - but that does sound like one step too far .

If you'd like to spread the flavour on your toast, B&M has just started selling peanut butter tasting of the Christmas pie.
