You can get your name on a Quality Street tin at Sainsbury’s for free – but there’s a catch
The large tins are packed with 1.2kg of chocolates, toffees and fruit cremés - but they can be found cheaper elsewhere
YOU can soon personalise your Quality Street tins at Sainsbury's for free - which could be the perfect Christmas gift for any chocolate fans.
But if you're not fussed about having your own or someone else's name on it, you can find the same tins at a cheaper price elsewhere.
The tins are packed with 1.2kg of chocolates, toffees and fruit cremés and will set you back £7.50 at Sainsbury's for a personalised tins.
Asda sells the same size tin for £7, which is the cheapest price currently offered by other supermarkets - but it's only 50p less than Sainsbury's personalised versions.
If you want a personalised tin or two (which is the maximum purchase allowed per customer) - you'll need to get down to one of 55 stores across the UK on a specific date.
Sainsbury's has brought back the service from last year, but then it was only available in five stores. This year you can get the tins in London, Sheffield, and Cambridge.
To get a personalised tin, all you have to do is buy the tin in a Sainsbury's store, pass on a chosen word with a maximum of nine letters and let the Quality Street team add it on for you.
The personalised service is available in Sainsbury's stores from October 25 to December 16 between 11.30am and 2.30pm Thursday to Saturday and 11am and 3pm on Sundays.
But if you're buying the tins for yourself, keep in mind that 100 gram contains a whopping 468 calories.

John Lewis also lets chocolate fans personalise their Quality Street tins, but this costs a whopping £15 for a tin of the the same size as Sainsbury's.
It allows customers to create their own pick & mix Quality Street tins though, meaning you can fill them with just your favourite chocolates.
