IT'S the vegetable that divides a Christmas dinner table - the humble Brussels sprout.
This year it takes centre stage in Tesco's Christmas advert which celebrates the many debates, rituals and routines that make the festive season what it is for people up and down the country.
The advert shows families sitting round tables, preparing dinners and discussing how they like their Xmas feast prepared.
Once again, the debate over whether a Christmas dinner should include Brussels sprouts, Yorkshire puddings and even ketchup is featured.
But many people are divided over whether they like Tesco's festive campaign.
One user said on Twitter: "NOT loving @Tesco Christmas Ad. WHAT is Christmas about??? What do we actually celebrate? Big hint. Look at the word Christmas."
Another added: "@tesco you should of done a better advert".
But there was also a lot of praise too.
On Twitter, Heidi Stephens said: "This from @Tesco is my fave of the Christmas ads so far (but several yet to declare).
And another user added: "Tesco nail their ads every year. Love it."
And Ed Banthorp said: "While I hate Christmas adverts in early November I'm a big fan of Tesco telling people they shouldn't have Yorkshire puddings as part of Christmas dinner in their advert."
YOU’VE BEEN AD How much do you remember about these Xmas adverts? Probably less than you think!
The advert - which was first broadcast on ITV last night - features a composed version of Fleetwood Mac’s hit, "Go Your Own Way" and will run throughout November and December.
The first of Tesco's TV adverts, directed by comedy director Randy Krallman and produced by Smuggler, can be seen here and in cinemas nationwide.
