The three-foot long spicy sausages has been cured at the foothills of the Pyrenees in Northern Spain and will set shoppers back £7.99 per banger.

Lidl says the chorizo, which weighs 850g, is perfect to throw into a paella for an authentic Spanish meal or mix into a pasta dish to make the weeknight dinner a little bit more exciting.

The sausages will be available in Lidl shops from November 23, but are only available as long as stocks last, so if you really want to get your hands on them, you should head to the shops early on Friday.

The Sun has asked Lidl to clarify the amount of calories and will update this article once we hear back.
