The way it works is that The Viewers pays its members for feedback that TV channels and production companies want on certain programmes.

Once you've registered as member, you'll be invited online to view specific programmes that are already on TV or are in the development stage.

After you've watched the show you'll be asked to answer a short survey and in return you'll receive £10 for an hour of your time. This is paid to you via bank transfer, PayPal or through an Amazon voucher.

There's also the chance to take part in shorter online surveys about new programme ideas, marketing or actors which pay £1 to £5.

It's completely free to register as a member - all you have to do is visit where you answer a series of questions to make sure you're assigned the shows you like to watch.

The Viewers has said anyone who signs up over the next couple of days should be able to take part over Christmas, so it’s definitely worth giving it a go.

There's no guarantee that you'll get assigned a TV show to watch - and you might have to compromise on watching your favourite programmes.

And if you want to earn even more cash in the new year the market research group also says it runs focus groups, where members can earn up to £70 per session.

These take place in major cities or online and last up to 2 hours - but you’ll have to wait until after Christmas to take part in them.

The Viewers isn't the only company that pays for market research - take a look at groups like or who test for tech and beauty brands.

If you're looking to boost your income in the new year, these are some more ways you can make money from home including filling out online surveys or renting out your driveway.

Some savvy money savers have also revealed easy ways to make money that can add up to nearly £1,000 per month.
