Aldi launches a bouquet of roses that will last for a whole YEAR – but they will cost you £50
The flowers keep their shape, colour and size for 12 months
ROSES are red, and they're expensive too - but now Aldi is selling a bunch for Valentine's Day that will at least last for a whole year instead of just a few days.
The budget supermarket has launched a bouquet of 12 "preserved" red roses - but they come with a hefty price tag of £49.99.
That works out at £4.17 per rose.
The supermarket sells a bouquet of 12 red roses for a bargain £2 - so the preserved ones are much harder on the wallet.
But Aldi says they will last for 12 months so it could be worth it in the long run.
The flowers are preserved by being treated with a special liquid "solution" which removes the moisture from the rose so that they won't wilt, while keeping the flowers' shape, colour and size.

They will feel very similar to a fresh red rose too.
But if you're expecting long stems, you might want to consider another option.
To preserve roses for a long time, the flowers have to be trimmed so you will only have the rose heads in the box.
Plus, Aldi says that even these long-lasting roses will lose some of their colour after three months.
The preserved roses, which come in a gift box with a satin ribbon handle, are from February 3.
If keeping 12 rose heads in a box for a year doesn't appeal, there are some cheaper ways to romance your other half at the supermarket.
Aldi's red rose bouquets range from a budget £2 option and a single flower in a cone for £2.50 to a £25 bouquet of premium roses.
The fresh flowers will be available in store from February 11.
It's not the only supermarket to offer romance on a budget though.
