McDonald’s now does vegan nuggets in Norway – and instead of chicken there’s MASHED POTATO, chickpeas and carrots
They look just like chicken nuggets from the outside
MCDONALD'S now does a vegan version of its famous chicken nuggets - but only in Norway.
The meat-free bites contain whole pieces of sweetcorn as well as a mix of mashed potato, chickpea, carrot, cauliflower and onion.
They're coated in breadcrumbs and fried to give a crunchy outer layer - and they look just like chicken nuggets from the outside.
It's not clear yet if the vegan nuggets are being trialled or if they're a permanent addition to the menu in Norway.
We've asked and we'll update this article if we hear back.
We're not sure how to feel about them, really - but we don't have to know, because McDonald's UK confirmed there are no plans yet to bring the vegan treats to Britain.

It's not the first time McDonald's has experimented with vegan food overseas.
In Finland, you can buy a vegan burger called the McVegan, while there's a vegan Happy Meal available for Swedish kids called the McFalafel.
Back in Britain, there are no vegan options but the chain launched its first ever vegetarian Happy Meal in January.
There's now a Veggie Wrap option for kids to pick, and the fast food chain has also launched a spicy version for adults on its main menu too.
But if you want to try some vegan fake chicken nuggets over here, then Quorn has a range of meat-free bites that taste just like real meat.

On the high street, Greggs now offers a vegan sausage roll.
And vegans can dine in at any JD Wetherspoon pub or at Wagamama, which both have a selection of vegan options.
All of the big coffee shop chains, including Starbucks and Costa, also have vegan dairy alternatives and dishes on their menus too.
Meanwhile, McDonald's Monopoly promotion has been branded a "danger to public health" by Labour MP Tom Watson, who says it should be banned.
Norway has about 70 branches of McDonald's - compared to more than 1,200 in the UK.
