LIDL has added a new flavour to its Hortus range with a gin liqueur that tastes of pink grapefruit and elderflower.
A 50cl bottle of the tipple is available in stores now for £11.99 - perfect for the upcoming bank holiday weekend.
The drink sees Lidl's Hortus London dry gin, which costs £15.99 for a 70cl bottle, infused with the zingy flavour of grapefruit and the fresh taste of elderflower.
As it's sweeter than a normal gin, Lidl recommends serving it with Prosecco to create a twist on an Aperol Spritz.
But bear in mind that the liqueur has an alcohol content of 20 per cent ABV, which is less than Lidl's dry gin at 40 per cent.
is the only other major supermarket to sell an own-brand pink grapefruit and elderflower gin liqueur and its version also costs £12 for a 50cl bottle at 20 per cent ABV.
If pink grapefruit and elderflower isn't your thing, Lidl's Hortus range also includes a pomegranate and rose liqueur as well as a spiced plum gin variety.

The supermarket is also selling a parma violet gin liqueur, which one shopper has spotted for £6 down from £14.
