Aldi set to open 21 stores in the UK by autumn – here’s the full list
ALDI shoppers are getting more and more choice as the discounter plans to open 21 stores across the UK in the next three months.
The news comes less than a week after the supermarket announced it's opening seven new "Local" stores in London this Thursday.
This will see the launch of a brand new store in a former Waitrose in Camden, while six existing Aldi stores will be changed to Local stores.
Luckily for Brits around the country, Aldi is also planning to open new stores in locations such as Cardiff, Dundee and Borehamwood.
Of these, 12 are opening between now and the end of August while the other nine are set to open their doors in September, although Aldi hasn't yet clarified any dates of the latter.
The branch on Camden High Street is the only one that will be in its smaller store format, as the other branches will have their usual size.
Aldi, which is the UK's fifth largest supermarket, opened its first UK store in Birmingham in 1990.
Since then, it's expanded rapidly and currently has more than 830 stores across the UK. You can find your nearest one by using .
The discounter told The Sun it's aiming to open 130 new stores in 2019 and 2020, while the long-term target is to have 1,200 branches by 2025.

This is part of a £500million expansion plan, and will see Lidl opening its first store in central London next summer.
Located on Tottenham Court Road, near Warren Street tube station, the supermarket's first store in London's zone one will include a 1,300m² sales area.
It will stock its full range of products, including its popular middle aisle items and goods baked in store.
