Forget pink gin! Asda now sells a purple gin that tastes of berry
IF you're someone who has lost interest in pink spirits, fear not, as Asda is selling a PURPLE gin now.
Available in store and online, the berry gin has hints of blueberry, blackberry and blackcurrant.
The 70cl bottle has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 40 per cent is on sale for £16.
The is a step up for those who have made their way around the coloured and flavoured gins we've had so far.
The craze started with pink gin but it seems as though the UK is a fan of a range of colours.
Previously, Asda launched lemon sherbet, parma violets and pear drops flavoured gins - all tasting like and resembling (in colour) the old-fashioned sweets.
Asda's Extra Special Gin range is now made up of nine flavours.
The budget supermarket isn't the first to bring out a purple gin, however.
has a sweet cassis flavour and is only £15.50 at Sainsbury's.
Sainsbury's also stocks - but the same sized bottle will set you back an extra £4.
Supermarket rival Tesco is selling - which is also purple - at the discounted price of £30.
It seems as though pink gin's moment might be over.
