PULL UP A CHAIR

B&M is selling gorgeous garden chairs worth £30 for £1

B&M is selling a funky string garden chair worth £30 for just £1 in a clearance sale.

The Hawaii string chair was first stocked at the discounter at the beginning of summer and comes in grey, green or white.

It looks similar to the "satellite chair" that was popular in the sixties and was part of a set that included a string bench, which cost £125, and a £50 table.

Initially they cost £30 each but in May the retailer slashed the price to £27.

Shoppers have been bagging some serious bargains on reduced summer gear in recent weeks at B&M, as it's rolled back prices in a bid to make way for autumn stock.

The chair cost £5 in the sale but the price now seems to have dropped even further.

The deal was spotted by a bargain hunter, who didn't want to be named, in the group who bought the chair in the branch at Forge Retailer Park in Glasgow.

They told The Sun: "I saw people on the Facebook page sharing pictures of the chairs being reduced to £5.

"I've been wanting one of the chairs for ages so I went into the shop yesterday to look for them.

"I couldn't see any so I asked a member of staff if they had any left and he looked in the back store room and he'd found one.

"I then used the B&M app to scan the barcode and it came up as £1. It was brilliant!"

B&M launched its free price checker app last year, where bargain hunters can scan the barcode of products to find out the most up-to-date prices.

It's a great way to discover secret discounts as sometimes they come up even cheaper than the display costs.

All you have to do is pay for your shopping at the till where it will scan through with the lower price.

The downside of a clearance sale means that you might not find the same discounts in your nearest store may have already ran out of stock.

To avoid disappointment, it might be worth calling ahead to find out if your nearest store has any of the chairs left in stock. You can find your local branch .

Other summer bargains shoppers have scooped at B&M include a £7 water fountain for dogs for £1 and a pop-up tent and play tunnel for £5.

It's also cut the price of a £200 patio furniture set to £80.
