Lots of the menu options will only be available while stocks last, with some restaurants running out of Signature burgers late last night.

And today is officially the last day that any of the items will be served anywhere in the UK.

The McFlurries, spicy nuggets, and double quarter pounder with cheese are all limited edition menu items that were all scheduled to end today.

But this is the first time the Signature collection has vanished from the menu since its introduction in 2015.

If you're a fan of the BBQ, the Classic or the Spicy, don't panic too much though as the chain has hinted that they could come back as part of future limited edition promotions.

A McDonald's spokesperson said: "We are sorry to disappoint fans of the range... which might return in the future as part of a limited time food promotion.”

The double quarter pounder with cheese could also make a return.

A spokesperson told The Sun: "It’s been INCREDIBLY popular, so if we hear from customers that they want it back it would be hard to ignore."

So if it's firm favourite make sure you let McDonald's know you want it back.

What is McDonald's removing from its menu?

HERE'S the full list of the seven items being dropped by McDonald's:

  • Double quarter pounder with cheese - Two 100 per cent beef patties, two slices of cheese, topped with fresh onions, pickles and a combination of ketchup and mustard.
  • Mars McFlurry - Soft dairy ice cream swirled with Mars chocolate coated nougat pieces and a chocolate caramel sauce.
  • Spicy McNuggets - Like the iconic Chicken McNuggets but with a spicy twist. Served with a Spicy Tomato dip for a little extra kick.
  • The BBQ (Signature) - 100 per cent British and Irish Beef, BBQ sauce, coleslaw, red onion, Batavia lettuce, Beechwood smoked bacon and cheddar cheese, all in a Brioche style bun.
  • The Classic (Signature) - 100 per cent British and Irish beef, two rashers of Beechwood smoked bacon, a slice of natural cheddar cheese, wholegrain mustard mayo, ketchup, Batavia lettuce and red onion, all in a Brioche style bun.
  • The Spicy (Signature) - 100 per cent British and Irish Beef, Jalapeño slices, Pepper Jack cheese, Batavia lettuce, mayo and a spicy relish, all in a Brioche style bun.
  • Twix McFlurry - Soft dairy ice cream swirled with Twix chocolate coated biscuit pieces and chocolate caramel sauce.

There's also lots of exciting new launches from McDonald's which could help fill the spicy nugget-shaped hole.

Tomorrow (September 25) the brand is starting to introduce its new "Great Tastes of the World" selection.

First to launch are a brand new Indian chicken burger with naan bread as the bun and a French stack with garlic mayo.

Then, as we head into October we will be treated to a Canadian stack with maple BBQ sauce, a Swiss stack with emmental cheese sauce, and a Jamaican chicken burger with spicy jerk sauce.

Finally, in November, we'll get our hands on the Italian stack with pesto-style mayo.
