THIS modern first-floor flat is perfect for stylish living - but potential buyers could face some issues when they get upstairs.

The stylish 'two-bed' is on the market for £260,000 in Bath, Somerset, and is just 0.2 miles from the city centre.

It is on the first floor of a Grade II Listed townhouse and comes complete with an open plan living and dining area, spacious kitchen and double bedroom.

As an added extra, a converted loft space boasts a “bonus mezzanine area”.

The space is not big enough to stand up in but you can squeeze in a mattress without a bed frame.

Potential buyers could also fit a mirror and TV at floor level to cope with the low ceiling.

Calling the half-height bonus room a “mezzanine” may be a bit of a stretch.

A mezzanine is typically a small extra floor between two other floors.

This room, however, appears to be above the bathroom and hallway and can be accessed through a ladder in the kitchen.

Elsewhere, the apartment, advertised on Rightmove, has a grand living room, separate kitchen and an entrance hall.
