Its creator 41-year-old Tin Wheeler, "I was in the process of just putting together a garden shed really and somebody suggested I could push it back into the hillside a little bit and put a grass roof on it and it would look a bit like a hobbit house.

"And I was like, 'Oh my God, I can build a hobbit house!' so I then went completely overboard and built a hobbit house."

The Hobbit House sleeps two and features a wood-fired oven.

But, if you want a shower, you have to use a private shower room in Tin’s nearby home.

They are tiny people who inhabit the lands of Middle-earth.

In novel The Hobbit Tolkein writes: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit.

“Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”

The homes were famously brought to life on the big screen by director Peter Jackson in his Lord Of The Rings film series that starred Elijah Wood as Bilbo Baggins.
