Ten miles further down the A1 comes the runner up for worst of the pit stops – as Leeming Bar was given a 3.2 rating on Google – with five being the maximum available.
Barton Park and Leeming Bar have both received lower ratings because of their general “lack of cleanliness” with many commenting the upkeep of the bathroom facilities.
Both are run by Moto stations, with a third for the company coming in for the bronze spot in the worst category - Todhills station on the M6 motorway.
A spokesman for Moto said: “Google reviews are one of the many ways we listen and respond to our 120 million customers who visit our sites every year.
