NOTE HAPPY

I found a rude note calling me a ‘lazy fat b*****d for parking in child space – even though I had my baby with me

A MUM was left close to tears after finding a note branding her “a lazy fat b*****d”.

The cruel note slapped onto Paige Murray’s car, accused her of parking in a parent and child bay unnecessarily - but she insists that she had her baby with her.

The mum, 25, was meeting her in-laws for lunch but had popped back to the car to fetch a bottle for her son, Daniel, when she spotted the nasty message.

The message said: “No children were in this car. Lazy fat b****ds”.

Paige was baffled as to how the note-writer had missed the ten minutes it took to get Daniel out of her black BMW and strap him into his harness.

She said when she showed up at lunch with her in-laws she was close to tears.

Paige, from Basildon, Essex, said: "I hope whoever wrote this note is ashamed of themselves.

"It's a cheap, low blow to call someone fat.

"It cast a dampener on the day because I was irritated.

“I'm quite thick-skinned and mama bear did come out, I felt like they should have said it to my face.

"It was very upsetting to the point where I was really angry and I was nearly crying because I was so frustrated.

"Perhaps someone saw me get out of the car and because he was strapped to me in a harness they hadn't spotted him.

"Had it been someone who wasn't having a good day or perhaps someone that suffered from postnatal depression - maybe that would ruin their day."

She added: "It was written on the back of an NHS letter, there were no tell-tale signs to say who it was.

"I definitely think that whoever it is is quite judgemental.

"I understand it's frustrating when people use parent and child spaces when they're not able to use them but I would never go out of my way to use derogatory terms because that could really ruin their day.

"I think it was a lapse of judgement clearly but at the end of the day I hope that whoever it was sees this and thinks in future."
