The chaotic clip shows a motorist behind the wheel of a blue Ford Mondeo with a roof box overtaking a drain and sewer cleaning vehicle.

The bulky truck forces the driver to veer into the centre of the two lanes to avoid it, as a taxi heads towards them.

Upon resuming the correction position in the road and safely passing the black cab, there was no further traffic to watch out for.

But despite having a clear run, the driver fails to make room for a grey Ford Kuga parked on the curb.

The motorist smashes straight into the vehicle, sending the left-side of their own car hurtling into the air.

They can be seen desperately trying to keep control of the Ford Mondeo while bouncing onto two wheels.

The driver narrowly escaped his car overturning after the spectacular bump on July 18.

And to add further insult to injury, the driver's unsecured roof box also slumped to the floor due to the force of the collision.

According to the bemused Brit who captured the footage on his dashcam, the elderly driver of the Mondeo initially tried to blame the taxi driver for causing the crash.

Sharing the clip on social media, Jim Martin wrote: "Not sure driving into a parked car was sensible..... Nobody was hurt!

"Driver blamed van, not vans fault clearly."

One user commented: "Passed the utility vehicle on their nearside way too close then proceeded to hit a parked vehicle on their nearside.
