Mystery over abandoned classic Morris Minor that hasn’t moved from multi-storey car park in years
MYSTERY surrounds the owner of a vintage car that was left abandoned in a multi storey car park for years.
The classic 1965 Morris Minor 1000 has sat untouched collecting dust on the third level for several years.
But in a bizarre twist, the parking charges on the filthy motor are up to date at the King William House car park in Hull city centre.
Research from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency revealed the vehicle's MOT expired five years ago - which means the car has been dumped for at least that long.
And, the DVLA uncovered that it hasn't been taxed in three years.
One clue left behind may be found in a strange object left on the back seat that is wrapped in brown plastic and black duct tape.

Another hint to the owner's identity is a small sticker of the Leeds Grand de Parp - an event started by the Leeds branch of the Morris Minors Owners' club.
The name 'Mildred' is also painted on the boot in a bright red cursive font.
In a strange twist, the car park operator APCOA does not consider this an abandoned motor and said it is not parked illegally.
In a statement, the company told: "The parking charges are paid and up to date so this is not an abandoned vehicle."
The question remains, why would someone be paying for a space if their car has not been driven for at least five years?
Hopefully one day the mystery of Mildred's Morris Minor will be solved.
But this is not the only strange discarded vehicle to be found.
An incredible classic Ferrari was left abandoned in a barn for 40 years before being discovered.
In Scotland earlier this year, a deserted car sparked outrage with one local dad who said it blocked the outside of his house.
Aaron Moison, 34, says it was "a pain" manoeuvring around the vehicle dumped at the end of his drive in Scotland.

But despite a relentless back-and-forth with the security company who own the white Mitsubishi - no one bothered to move it.
And as there was no one on his street he believed worked at the firm, the dad-of-two was left scratching his head.
