Inside £10million lottery winner’s incredible car collection – before he lost all his cash in spending spree
A LOTTERY winner owned an incredible car collection after winning £10million in the lottery - but he ended up losing it all.
John McGuinness swapped his Vauxhall Astra for a £140,000 Ferrari after scoring the massive prize in 1997.
Its replacement was a £140,000 Modena Spyder convertible supercar, which took pride of place on the driveway of John's new £1.3million mansion in Bothwell, South Lanarkshire.
The 360 Modena Spyder is capable of 0-62mph in around 4.5 seconds.
This supercar was launched in 1999 and replaced the F355, which means John would have been the owner of Ferrari's best supercar of the time.
And the 3.6-litre V8 engine produced 394bhp, but the Modena was more affordable to run than previous Ferrari models.

But the spending on luxury motors didn't stop there.
And John had six exotic cars to choose from at one stage, including a Bentley, a Mercedes, Jaguar and a BMW.
Other extravagant items included a £500,000 seafront apartment in Majorca, plus a £3million spending spree on family members - not bad for a lad that used to live with his parents in a council house and earned £150 a week.
Further bad investments led to a court appearance where John declared he had 'lost everything.'

And John lost all his winnings after a devastating turn of events.
The die-hard Livingston FC fan's fortunes were left in tatters when he used his sudden wealth as a guarantee against the club's loans.
It meant that he was liable for all of the football club's debts.
He had put £4million into Livingston before it went into administration.
And he lost millions in a venture to buy Livingston with former Celtic director Dominic Keane.
