DON'T TES ME

I own a £44k Tesla Model S but here’s why you DON’T want it – there are 10 key problems

A TESLA owner has slammed the electric car after buying the Model S for a whopping £44k – listing ten huge problems he’s encountered.

Myong Hong claims he’s been inundated with issues since buying the car and even urged others not to buy the vehicle that has taken the world by storm.

A man who owns a £44,000 Tesla Model S has revealed the ten key problems he has found in his electric cars

He said that the price of charging your car varies depending on the time of the day, you can only repair your Tesla at official repair centres, and they haven’t included a spare tyre to make their car lighter.

Myong Hong also mentioned that Tesla’s charging percentage is not accurate, they haven’t included Apple Car or Android on their EVs, the streaming service is very limited – and Tesla cars are too expensive.

Another problem he found is that you have to wait for a long time to charge your car and drivers have to pay around £8 for the car’s internet.

Myong Hong said: “The reason number one is charge anxiety, so with regular petrol cars, you could obviously drive anywhere you want to a petrol station at every exit of the highway, and it’s not going to give you any problems.

“You have to stop by every supercharger, and of course, when you get there, you have to wait about 30 minutes to get it charged, and you would probably hit 0% before finally reaching the next supercharger.”

He doesn’t recommend buying a Tesla if you can’t charge it at home.

“The couple of times that I’ve been to a supercharger, I have had to wait in line for it, and at the same time, when I can go, is usually the time that the price is double.

“The third reason is that it takes a long time to get your car fixed, and their repair centres are very limited – and you can’t just go a normal mechanic and get your car fixed.

“The reason number four that you might not like or want. The Tesla is just the hassle of trying to figure out the charging percentage, to be honest with you. It’s not a big deal.”

The man finds it annoying that Tesla vehicles don’t include a spare tyre in order to keep them as light as possible.

He continued: “Tesla doesn’t have a racing culture; it’s not fair, right I see so many videos like Tesla Model 3 performance and Model S racing against Lamborghinis, and of course, Tesla just beats the hell out of them as it’s an electric car and it’s obviously super fast.

“The issue number seven is that it doesn’t have Apple Carplay or Android, so everybody who owns an iPhone loves to use Apple Carplay as it seems to work so well with your car.”

10 Negative aspects about Tesla cars

  1. Charging anxiety
  2. Waiting times in charging stations
  3. Limited Tesla repair centres
  4. Inaccurate charging percentage
  5. The car doesn’t include a spare tyre
  6. You can’t modify your car
  7. Tesla cars don’t have Apple Carplay or Android
  8. Limited streaming services
  9. Tesla owners have to pay for their car’s internet
  10. Tesla cars are very expensive

Myong Hong hates that his Tesla has limited streaming service, meaning that he can only watch Netflix, YouTube, TikTok, Hulu and Disney in his car.

He says: “The reason number nine is that you have to pay for internet for your car. It’s only ten dollars, and if you buy a Tesla Model 3, they give you a year of free internet. You need internet for your Tesla if you want your apps to work if you want to use the map.”

He believes that Tesla cars are too expensive and they should reduce their price.

This comes after a man with a £100k Tesla revealed the most annoying things about his expensive EV.
