Smaller-than-average parking space on sale for hefty five-figure sum
A SMALLER-than-average parking space has been put up for sale for nearly £50,000.
The 15ft by 7ft spot offers its potential owner 9.29 square metres of parking — slightly less than usual, according to The AA.
If bought at the £49,000 asking price, the space would cost more than £5,000 per square metre.
It is about 15 minutes from the centre of St Ives, Cornwall, and described as “a good-sized parking space in a great location”.
The advertisement by estate agents Miller Countrywide for the spot, which boasts white line borders, reads: “It would suit a property owner with limited or no parking or make a great investment
“It is located close to town with easy access.”

It also has the number 13 painted in the centre.
The bay is still a long way off being the most expensive parking spot in the UK.
This was previously revealed to be a 20ft long bay in Knightsbridge in West London, which went on sale for a staggering £350,000.
The plot is located in a part of the capital where one-bed apartments can fetch £5.5million.
For the same figure, buyers could purchase a four-bed family home in Yorkshire.
