The YouTuber was blown away by the "exceptional" condition the Capri was left in.

In the video, IMSTOKZE noted the car's underneath, gorgeous "pepper pot" style alloy wheels and the exhaust - claiming the vintage motor "will go crazy on the auction".

The YouTuber almost seemed lost for words at how well-kept the 40-year-old Ford was as he showed viewers the car's tartan interior - describing it as a "time capsule".

He said: "The Ford Capri is in exceptional condition, with one or two marks here and there.

"After all, this is a barn find, so it will come with characteristics from being laid dormant for many years.

"Having said that again, this Ford will clean up extremely well and will make someone a very happy owner."

The retro motor, which boasted just 53,000 miles on the odometer, belonged to a father who passed away and left it to his daughter, who "reluctantly" put it up for auction.

IMSTOKZE explained: "The Capri belonged to the owner's late father, who sadly departed early this year.

"Amy, his daughter, has reluctantly put the Capri and many other vehicles up for auction with no reserve.

Later adding: "This is a very rare opportunity to acquire, in my opinion, one of the cleanest examples."

The Capri was later sold at an auction for an undisclosed price - but IMSTOKZE claimed that bidding would "easily hit £15,000".

Many of IMSTOKZE's fans were equally shocked at the great condition this classic car was left in.

One commented: "I wish I had the money to buy her!"

Another said: "Wow an awesome classic, deserves to be loved again and back on the road let's hope the auction goes well."

A third wrote: "Lovely car, doesn't look like it needs much to be back on the road."

And an astute viewer said: "Wow, that's a very early four-speed, with the Rupert Bear interior - not seen one in that condition for a long time, most impressive."

This comes after fans were left outraged by pictures supposedly showing the new version of the Ford Capri out on a test run-out.

The beloved motor is set to make a comeback next year with some pretty radical changes to its design - decades after Ford pulled the original from production.

Speaking to The Sun Online, Secretary of the Capri Mk1 Owners' Club Kevin Folds said it was "inevitable that Ford would attempt to cash in" on the popularity of the iconic vehicle.
