Who is Vicki Butler-Henderson?

Racing is at the heart of Vicki's family.

Her grandfather raced a Frazer Nash at Brooklands, her father was in the British karting team and her brother Charlie is a racing driver.

She started racing at 12 and went on to become a racing journalist for Auto Express, What Car? and Performance Car.

After this, she began her career in TV.

Vicki joined the original incarnation of BBC's hit show Top Gear, which ran from 1977-2001.

The show followed a magazine format, which meant it covered a range of different motoring topics.

She appeared in 108 episodes of the show, where she shared her racing expertise with her audience.

The show came to an end in 2001, but was later revived in 2002 with Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond.

Vicki was instrumental in setting up Fifth Gear on Channel 5, after the end of Top Gear.

The show had a similar format to the BBC show and has, in recent years, focused on electric vehicles.

Vicki presented the show for fourteen years, until it ended in 2016.

Fifth Gear later returned in 2018 to Quest, with Vicki once again at the helm.

Vicki's career has made her synonymous with racing, leading her to feature in the PlayStation 2 racing simulator Gran Turismo 4 Prologue.

The Car Years

Vicki presented The Car Years on ITV4 from 2019-2022, alongside Alex Riley.

The show follows Vicki and Alex competing to champion two cars from the same year.

The two presenters pick a car from each year from the 1950s until the 1990s and have to prove that their car is the best.

Who is Vicki Butler-Henderson's husband Phil Churchward?

Vicki Butler-Henderson is married to television producer and director Phil Churchward.

The couple tied the knot in 2007.
