Morrisons has come up with the scheme to help Brits ahead of Christmas.

At the moment, for everyone who spends £35 on groceries they will get a voucher that offers them 5p off per litre.

This will see Brits save about £3.50 off a full tank of fuel.

The money-saving scheme runs until December 13 - but it can be redeemed until December 20.

It's on offer for people who shop in-store at Morrisons, online and also use the click-and-collect service.

Rachel Eyre, Chief Customer and Marketing Officer at Morrisons, said: “With Christmas just around the corner this fuel offer aims to help household budgets go a little further.

“On top of the 5p per litre discount, More Card customers will still earn their usual five points for every litre of fuel which will help build up their points so they can be rewarded with Morrisons Fivers.”

Simon Williams, RAC fuel spokesperson, added: “We reiterate our call to the biggest retailers to significantly cut their prices to mirror what’s happening with greatly reduced wholesale costs.”
