I’m a mum & I brushed off ‘pointless’ hidden feature until I discovered how helpful it is getting kids in car

A MUM has revealed how a hidden feature she thought was pointless has changed the game when it comes to getting her kids into the car.

The woman - who goes by @mrsdejasmith on TikTok- took to the platform to share the tip with her followers - and it has viewers in a frenzy.

She begins the video by saying: "This is a feature I thought was totally pointless when I brought my car, but here I am as a mum and I use it everyday."

The mum then explains she's just been grocery shopping and has her hands full but doesn't know where her keys are to open her car.

However, she need not fret as she can simply stand beside her vehicle and the trunk will open as it can sense the keys are nearby.

"Instead of me wasting time trying to rummage through my bag my car senses my keys nearby and opens for me," she said.

The car is a KIA and viewers were quick to praise the vehicle's design in the comments section.

"Kia has some great parent friendly features! I love the built in sun shades in my mini van and all the buttons for every door on the dash," wrote one.

Another said: "Omg i always lose my keys in the diaper bag or I forget to get them out before I get to the car! That’s it I’m getting this car."

"Niceeee! I never know where my keys are, I just touch the handle to open up the doors," offered a third.

This isn't the only time a hidden feature of a car has made the news recently.

A woman on TikTok has revealed a free item hidden in thousands of cars that most drivers don't even know is there.

In the video she demonstrates how to find the special feature which drivers just need to "push and twist" to be able to use.

The special item is a perfume dispenser which comes in different scents like vanilla and mango and makes the interior of the motor smell incredible.

The cars that boast this feature are CITROEN DS3s and there are currently about 72,000 on UK roads.
