'OBSTACLE COURSE'

Fed-up driver walks his 17-mile journey home to log 250 pothole dossier – with photos and GPS data

Two different councils have now been presented with a dossier of evidence

A FED-up driver walked his 17-mile commute home — to gather evidence on more than 250 potholes along the way.

Rad Marciak, 43, took photos and logged GPS data for his dossier of damage to present to council officials.

He said his car was battered every day on his journey to work and feared he would one day be left with a huge repair bill.

In the past year, he has stopped to help three other drivers whose cars had been damaged.

Groundsman Rad spent more than six hours walking the route — usually a 35-minute drive.

He said: “Roads are not supposed to be an obstacle course.

"This could lead to someone being seriously hurt, or worse.”

Rad says it is becoming harder to avoid all the hazards on his 34-mile round daily journey from Wrexham to Cholmondeley, Cheshire.

His dossier has gone to both Wrexham and Cheshire East councils.

He hopes it will lead to action but adds: “Neither will be able to claim that they have not been informed.”
