FORTY TWO cars are lined up in several rows, but only one of them is different from the rest - can you spot the odd man out in 15 seconds?

Odd one out illusions are always a favorite as they challenge the brain's ability to find the outlier.

Only one of the 42 cars is different from the others - can you find it?

In this illusion, there is only one of the green and red cars that is different from the rest.

The average time people spend finding the odd one out is about 20 seconds - do you think you could beat that time?

Before setting a timer on your phone, look at the cars and pinpoint exactly what could be different from one car to another.

The trim color, tire and wheel color, window color, and head or taillights.

Maybe the distance between them counts as something that could be different, too.

As far as a strategy goes, how do you plan on tacking it - will you go from left to right, or top to bottom?

Or will you start in one corner and travel slowly to the other corner to find the odd man out?

Once you've figured it out, set a timer and get to seeking.

Were you able to find the car that's different?

Check the answer key below to see if you found the right car.

If you feel nice and warmed up, check out this other illusion we have that turns it up a notch.

See if you can find the hidden car in the image full of mushrooms and snails.

Most people find it in about 30 seconds - see if you can find it in 20 seconds or less.

There are lots of places in this one to hide a car, so be sure to figure out the best place to hide the lines of a car.

Do you think it could be hidden in the shell of one of the snails, or in the cap or stem of one of the mushrooms?

Watch mind-boggling moment car travels along a busy road - but can you tell which way it's moving?

When you're ready set a timer!

Were you able to find it? Confirm your findings with the answer key.

If you've got the bandwidth for an even harder one, see if you can find the difference between the three roads.

There are three stretches of highway, and two are identical, and one is different.

One of these roads is different from the other two - but it's not the answer you think.

Be sure to look carefully at this one, since the answer isn't what you might think.

This illusion won third place in the Optical Illusion Contest in 2014, because it shocked nearly everyone when they found out the correct answer.

Naturally, our first instinct is to assume that the road all the way to the right is the most different, as it looks physically different.

When the roads are moved around, the true answer becomes apparent.

Were you fooled, or did you figure out which one was truly different?

Were you able to figure out which one was different?

The middle road in the first image was different.

Be sure to send these illusions to your car-loving friends, and see if they can beat your time.
