A DRIVEWAY expert shared a simple or quick method to fix an uneven driveway using several common tools.
Dirty Drive-Away shared a DIY fix for driveways that use blocks and bricks which may have sunk over time.

The YouTuber (@) used several common tools that many households may already have.
These included two large screwdrivers, a hammer, a brush, a long piece of wood, and either builder or sharp sand.
In the , he showed a driveway that had four sunken blocks that had become loose over time.
Before he started he shared a useful tip for DIYers before they tackle their driveway project.

“If you’re doing a larger area and you’ve got lots of cut blocks it may be advantageous to take a picture of it on your phone before you start just so you know which way round the blocks go. It’s a bit of a jigsaw puzzle,” he said.
He placed the two screwdrivers on either side of one of the blocks and carefully lifted them out of their place.
“If they feel too tight you can give them a tap with a hammer. Once you get it so far out you can just completely lift it out,” he said.
“Hardest part of this job is getting the initial block out,” he added.

The driveway expert then scraped off some of the old sand and dirt that had collected on the blocks.
He then placed some fresh sand in the gap and spread it out.

The driveway expert placed one of the bricks back in its slot and placed the strip of wood on top to level the block with the rest of the driveway.
His next step was to use a hammer to firmly hit the wood, rather than the block, until the brick sunk into the sand and was level with the rest of the driveway.
“I’m not a paving contractor so I’m just trying to show you know that pretty much anybody can do it really,” he said.
He told viewers that his job was an easy DIY fix and not a professional job.
“There’s no jointing sand in there so the blocks are going to be a little bit loose,” he said.
“Nothing overly special to it. As you can see it probably took me 10 minutes if that just to reset them ones,” he added.
He also explained to viewers why his method was for sunken blocks and not raised blocks.
“If you’ve got blocks that are lifting… That’s normally an underlying issue,” he explained.
These could be problems with weeds or roots that unearth the driveway.
