Small vans – Reviews of Peugeot Expert, Citroen Dispatch and Toyota Proace
HERE’S a threesome we can report on. The new Peugeot Expert, above, Citroen Dispatch and Toyota Proace share a little secret . . . they’re the SAME van.
They’re built at the same factory in France and use the same Peugeot engines. Just the nose and badges are different. But they’re bloody good. Out September from £17,495, the triplets will come in three sizes – XS/M/L – with a choice of two or three front seats, 1400kg payload, and a bulkhead hatch to increase load length.
Equipment includes hands-free sliding doors, head-up display, 7in touchscreen with 3D TomTom satnav, auto emergency braking and reversing camera (plus a copy of The Sun on the dash). The Euro 6 1.6-litre diesel does 55mpg with 2yr/25,000-mile servicing.
The Expert was a designed by a Brit too. Good job.
