Expert mechanic Elvis was tasked with converting the former German fire brigade van into a right hand motor.

At one stage Elvis had to use a plasma cutter for some intense engineering work, which seemed to go smoothly.

In total Mike and Elvis spent £1615 on the refurb, bringing their total spend to £13115.

Despite shelling out on the motor, Mike said: "Look at it its a thing of beauty."

The best selling commercial vehicle in British motoring history is now up for auction. The guide price is between £50,000 - £60,000.

The star will also sell two iconic Porsche cars alongside the van.

Petrolheads will have the opportunity to get their hands on a resto-mod 911SC with styling influence from the '73 RS.

It has also undergone mechanical upgrades, now boasting 230bhp.

The auctioneer said: "Mike had no intention of selling the Transit, or either of his two Porsches also in our sale, but a rather exciting (and probably expensive) project is on the horizon, so a bit of space needs to be created."
