Red-faced driver facing huge insurance bill after reversing VW over a £210,000 Aston Martin supercar
THE red-faced driver of a nine-year-old VW is facing a huge insurance bill - after reversing his car over a £210,000 Aston Martin supercar.
The bungling driver of the grey 2015 VW Tiguan, which is worth around £10,000 today, lost control of their car, landing on top of the Aston Martin DBS parked outside a dealership in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
Shocked staff at the dealership, which is popular with Premier League stars, came rushing out to see what happened on Tuesday morning.
The two-door 2023 coupe, which is up for sale for £209,900, boasts a V12 engine, metallic blue paint job, body styling kit and has just 542 miles on the clock.
The impressive Aston can also hit 60mph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 211mph.
But the luxury motor might now need a bit of a facelift, with damages likely to run into the tens of thousands.

One onlooker who saw the scene told The Sun: "It's not clear exactly what happened but the driver of the VW somehow lost control, mounted the pavement and a small wall and the car's back end landed right on the bumper of the Aston Martin.
"It was a classic case of 'you can't park there mate'.
"There was shards of glass and metal and the floor so it must have done quite a bit of damage.
"The driver will have been pretty embarrassed because dealership staff came running out to see what happened and people on the street started gawking and taking photos.
"The Tiguan driver wasn't injured but they face a pretty hefty insurance bill."
The Stratstone Aston Martin dealership was once crowned the biggest-selling Aston dealership in the world with clients including former Man Utd ace Wayne Rooney.
It comes after a £1.3 million McLaren Senna that was crashed by an idiotic YouTuber went up for auction.
